Tired of hearing your students complain that they don’t know what to draw when given time to work in their sketchbooks? These warm up wheels are a great solution!
This package includes 10 pre-made wheels and 1 customizable wheel in an interactive PowerPoint to be used for drawing warm-ups (in total there are 2,322 possible combinations)!

They would work perfectly as a class warm-up (while you’re prepping materials for another project), as an activity for early finishers, or even for a good closing class activity while other friends are still cleaning up.

This resource could also be used be regular classroom teachers as a drawing OR writing warm up!

Wheels Included:
Slide 2: Spring Themed Wheel
Slide 3: Summer Themed Wheel
Slide 4: Autumn Themed Wheel
Slide 5: Winter/Christmas Themed Wheel
Slide 6: School Themed Wheel
Slide 7-10: Random Wheels (no theme)
Slide 11: Elements and Principles Themed Wheel
With this wheel, students will get a theme, element of art, and principle of design. Then they’ll use those selections to create a piece of art illustrating all three.
For example, if they got ‘food’, ‘color’, and ‘unity’, they might draw a picture of a basket of fruit with red apples, cherries, and strawberries (all red). That would demonstrate using the theme of food and creating unity with color.

A ZIP file is a compressed folder containing multiple files. This type of file format allows you to download many files at once.

Before you can directly access the files, you'll need to "unzip" the file. No worries though, both Windows and Mac OSX are able to open and uncompress ZIP files easily without additional software (iPhones and iPads will require an additional app).

If your computer runs Microsoft Windows:

  1. Right-click on the unopened ZIP folder.
  2. Choose "Extract All" from the menu that opens.
  3. Choose a destination. This is the place where you want to keep the unzipped files. You can choose "My Documents," for example.
  4. Click "Extract."

If your computer runs Mac OSX:

Double-click the unopened ZIP — the file should extract automatically. If that doesn't work, hold down the control key and click the ZIP file icon. Choose "Open With" and then select "Archive Utility." The utility will extract the ZIP files, and you can find them in the same folder where you downloaded them.

Still having trouble?

If you're still having trouble getting your files to unzip, I recommend extracting the ZIP file online using one of these free websites:
