Looking for a way to continue teaching your students about the elements of art from a distance? These interactive Google Slide art worksheets covering all 7 elements (color, value, line, texture, shape, form, and space) are perfect for taking digital learning to the next level!

While this resource is primarily designed to be used in Google Classroom, I've also included directions for a workaround for those teachers not using Google Classroom (the only caveat is that your students must have their own Google Drive account).

How to use without Google Classroom: You'll send your students a link (provided) which will create a copy of the document in their own Google Drive folder. They will then complete the activities and when they're done, 'share' the document back to you for grading, by sending you a link to view their work.

Included in this bundle are 14 Google Slide documents covering:

  1. Color - Descriptive and Expressive Color
  2. Color - The Color Wheel
  3. Color - Color Schemes
  4. Value - Tints and Shades
  5. Value - Hatching and Stippling
  6. Line - Expressive Line
  7. Texture - Real and Implied
  8. Shape - Intro to Shape
  9. Shape - Shape Puzzles (Level One)
  10. Shape - Shape Puzzles (Level Two)
  11. Shape - Shape Puzzles (Level Three)
  12. Form - Intro to Form
  13. Space - Positive and Negative
  14. Space - Creating the Illusion of Depth

Each slideshow contains both informational slides and interactive slides as well. Students will be presented with information, and then asked to complete interactive tasks (drag and drop and written response) to show their understanding. The slideshow must be accessible in edit mode for students to be able to complete the interactive components. This activity cannot be completed in presentation mode.

Please Note: This is a product designed to be used with Google Slides. In order to use this product, you MUST have a Google Drive account.
You will find the links to all 14 slideshows in the 'Teacher Directions' PDF. When you click on the link it will prompt you to create a copy for your Google Drive. You must accept this in order to use this product.

Important: Slides are NOT editable. They are not editable for two reasons. 1. Because you don't want students to be able to manipulate directions or other stationary items. 2. To protect the copyright protections of owners of some of the clipart used in my slideshows.
I have now included directions though of how to make notations for students (to clarify or explain things) AND directions for how to make your own custom slides to add which match the formatting used!

A ZIP file is a compressed folder containing multiple files. This type of file format allows you to download many files at once.

Before you can directly access the files, you'll need to "unzip" the file. No worries though, both Windows and Mac OSX are able to open and uncompress ZIP files easily without additional software (iPhones and iPads will require an additional app).

If your computer runs Microsoft Windows:

    1. Right-click on the unopened ZIP folder.
    2. Choose "Extract All" from the menu that opens.
    3. Choose a destination. This is the place where you want to keep the unzipped files. You can choose "My Documents," for example.
    4. Click "Extract."

If your computer runs Mac OSX:

Double-click the unopened ZIP — the file should extract automatically. If that doesn't work, hold down the control key and click the ZIP file icon. Choose "Open With" and then select "Archive Utility." The utility will extract the ZIP files, and you can find them in the same folder where you downloaded them.

    Still having trouble?

If you're still having trouble getting your files to unzip, I recommend extracting the ZIP file online using one of these free websites:
